Who is my Neighbor?

Just this morning I was reading the story of the man questioning Jesus about the commands of God. When Jesus said “love your neighbor as you love yourself”, he immediately responded with “Who is my neighbor?” We then read of the Good Samaritan and his actions to a hurting and needy individual (as well as reading about the ones who passed by trying hard NOT to notice).

I am challenged today to NOTICE those around me: not only notice but take action.

It is a call to all us followers of Christ to be the hands and feet, voice and strength of those not capable of standing on their own at the present. However the first thing is — we must notice.

We cannot become too busy ”doing the work of the Lord” that we have not time to do the work of the Lord.

I urge you to look around your world and see who it is that God is placing before you. We have an opportunity this very day, let’s not waste it. We get to be a representative of Jesus, an earthly example of HIm. What a privilege!
