With every new year comes a time of reflection. Looking back. Reviewing the past year's events and analyzing whether we feel our goals for the year were met or if we fell short of what had been hoped for. What unexpected turns came our way? How did those events change our lives? What went just as we had planned?
Too often when we look back and find our lives did not meet expectations, we become discouraged. Discouragement often results in finding ourselves emotionally stuck in those past events. Feelings of inadequacies block us from setting new goals or dreaming in big, bold colors. That is when we need to choose to hit the reset button!
II Peter 3:14 reminds use where to set our focus.
"Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless...."
As we look to Him, He will give us His take on our past events. His perspective can bring peace as we chose to learn from our previous experiences and press on to what new adventures lay before us. He has a beautiful plan ahead and is waiting to share it with you.
Ask Him today what secrets He has in store for your life this coming year. Hit the reset button and get excited for all that Abba Father has planned for you! He loves to give out His gifts. Go on an adventure with Him this year. It's worth it all!
