Loving Him

It starts as a heart issue. My heart needs to be well. If I want to make a difference in the lives of others, I first need to focus on my own heart. He has my heart. Without Him I have nothing to offer. Yet too often I end up not putting my relationship with Him as priority. And my actions reflect it.

Just as I need to work on keeping my relationship with my husband healthy, I need to make my relationship with Christ a priority. I desire my husband to want time with me. He also wants me to keep open communication with him. We love each other enough to schedule for ourselves alone time. Time with just us. No interruptions. Loving God means I actively pursue getting to know Him better. It means He takes priority in my life and I arrange my schedule to have uninterrupted time with just Him. I talk about Him and want others to know how much He means to me. Like my husband, God desires me to want to ne with Him. He wants to be wanted. As Christ is my focus, I become a better ME to love others well. The more I spend time with Him, the more I can look like Him and show His love to those around. It's the order shown in Luke 10....love Him....love them.

Luke 10:27 "So he answered and said, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” Love Him today! The rest will flow out from there.
